Tribune Editorial: Jury duty is a citizen's responsibility

"When you go into court you are putting your fate into the hands of twelve people who weren't smart enough to get out of jury duty." The idea that if you're smart enough, you can get out of jury duty is the oft-used, and seemingly funny, response to anyone facing a jury summons.
